Got a problem with the USA, pal? Freedom a little too much for you to handle? Have trouble pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps? Well, comrade, this is the place for you. Anonymous commenting is on and IP logging is off, as far as you know.

Comments will be screened until the CIA sees fit to declassify them.

OOC:

Backtagging: Yes, I'm happy to! If I ever drop an old thread you want to pick up, just PM me or hit me up on plurk.
Threadhopping: Sure!
Fourthwalling: History fourth walling (like bringing up things your character knows from history) is okay, though please see my Hetalia specific request below. Knowing Axis Powers Hetalia is okay if it makes sense for the character, but please don't tell him.
Offensive Subjects: Run it by me, and please see below for my notes about history/politics.

IC:

Hugging: Sure!
Kissing: Sure!
Flirting: Go for it, though he may not notice.
Romance: Sure! I don't see America as much for commitment, but I love playing out shippy stuff.
Fighting: Go for it. He has super strength and is really quick and accurate with guns. If it's just a for fun kind of fight, he won't hurt your character. If it's something a lot more serious, there's a chance of it.
Injuring: Small injuries are fine, anything big we should talk.
Killing: Talk to me first, but I'm willing.
Telepathy / Mindreading: That's fine! There's not that much going on up in there anyway.

[ Hetalia ]

Many people are not comfortable with the basic premise of Hetalia or its execution, and may prefer not to interact with Hetalia characters. This is something I completely understand. If you would prefer not to be tagged with America, please please let me know, as the last thing I want is to make anyone uncomfortable. Comments are screened so you can do so privately if you prefer. Likewise, if there is anything you're concerned about with respect to America and what I should and shouldn't bring up in threads, let's chat.

As for me, it is my opinion that Hetalia works best as a light-hearted series, so while I love to joke around with history, I usually prefer to avoid into delving into complicated political subjects or actual tragedy; Hetalia is not a series designed for sensitive exploration of these things! Furthermore, America represents his people and not his government, so his own opinions and experiences will necessarily be divided in a lot of issues.

Anyway, this is a request that if you think something controversial or very serious related to American history or politics is going to come up in conversation, please talk to me first! You can do so on this post or by PM. I may or may be willing to go there, but I'm happy to talk it through.

[He'll slip Sanae a note to come meet him in his place, but will otherwise avoid him; the America who is defiantly not playing would have no reason to talk to this guy. Still, once he's inside, he'll lock the door carefully and sit down.]
asapplepie: (hateful)
[America's cabin is a mess at this point; his things are all over the floor, he's left his suitcase overturned, his chair is lying on its side, and there's some food from the general store strewn about. Despite that, there's still a very neatly folded set of clothes sitting next to his drawers that hasn't been touched.

Once they get inside, his demeanor seems to shift subtly. He's still a mess, but he seems a little less out of it and there's a determined set to his jaw.]
asapplepie: (i'll never let go jack)
[After the trial, he'll ask England to meet him again in his room.]
asapplepie: (forget it. it's chinatown.)
There's something extra weird I can't talk about, because I guess I can't know if you're a hunter.

But...something really strange happened. There has to be a role that can kill at night we don't know yet, because someone else almost died last night.
asapplepie: (Default)
Holden,

I don't know if you know this, but England might be able to help. We will do our best for her, okay? I can't guarantee anything, but please please please DO NOT tell anyone that England's role helps someone who is poisoned. We won't be able to help her if the hunters find out because then they would know we weren't protecting the other important roles.

America

Added to the bottom:

See? I was going to help you.

I was stupid to want to. Ema was the one who needed protection tonight. We're not going to waste protection on someone who won't even help the prey.
asapplepie: (nothing sucks like an electrolux)
[He's still wiping tears away when he leads England back to his cabin to talk. He's glad to talk to England, even if England won't like what he might have to say, because this way they can protect more people.

His room has gotten messy again, though he's spent most of his nights pacing in the dark rather than managing to actually sleep. But he locks the door behind them.]

Ema,

My role is to protect people at night. England was covering for me, he's just a regular prey. Kirigiri knows and so do the countries but please don't tell anybody else! If the hunters think England is the protector, they'll be less able to guess what I'm gonna do.
asapplepie: (nowhere to run ain't got nowhere to go)
[Shortly after the trial, America will send a note to Kirigiri asking her to meet.

His room is kind of messy, although he'll tidy up just a little while waiting for her to show up.]
asapplepie: (curiosity searches past and future)
[America's mood is significantly different this time around. He's worried and discouraged. He should have never told England the truth yesterday...but he can't not talk to him now.

He'll meet England in his bedroom once again; he hasn't spent much time here, so the place is still tidy from England's previous efforts, though his bed is unmade.]
asapplepie: (a sort of tender curiosity)
[America is feeling lost; things have gotten serious all of a sudden and he doesn't know where to start. He's not used to having to make important decisions by himself. He usually has people around him everywhere telling him what he should and shouldn't do, and they may not all agree, and he may frequently ignore them, but at least he isn't on his own.

Critter said not to trust anyone, but he needs help.

His bedroom in the cabin is messy already, with his things strewn on the ground and his bed unmade. But he'll flop down on the bed to sit as soon as he comes inside and locks the door behind them.]
asapplepie: (faster than a speeding bullet)
[They're having one.

Oh it's a world meeting all right.

Let's do this.]
